Jack L. Subel, age 75, died on December 24, 2018 from complications due to heart disease. Jack was born in Cleveland to Jack W. “Buddy” and Sophie (Volk) Subel. Jack was the oldest of four children. He was proud of his Slovenian heritage. He graduated from Euclid High School, class of 1961 and THE Ohio State University, class of 1966. Jack was a Buckeye until the end. His zest for life was reflected in his dynamic career which took him to many parts of the world. Jack was “never better” than was he was with his family and friends on his many adventures. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Carol (Stanley) Subel; his son, Jack (Laura); daughter, Laura (Ben) Mcloughlin; his grandkids, Tristan, Lily, Maisy and Jack Otis; his sister, Janet Lewis; and many loving nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held in the summer of 2019. Family suggests donations in Jack’s memory be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve.
