G. WILLIAM “BILL” EVARTS (1936 - 2018), age 82 of Moreland Hills, passed away on December 11, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Marylyn Sayle Evarts; dear son of the late Morley and Jennie (nee Stone) Evarts; cherished brother of the late Jane (Victor) Bryan, the late Raymond Evarts, and the late James (Dale) Evarts; dear brother-in-law of Robert (Judy) Sayle, William (Jean) Sayle, Virginia (Clyde) Hill; loving father of Daniel (Tray) Evarts, Paisley (Stephan) Frischholz, and the late Major Michael (Monique) Evarts, who died in Iraq in 2011. Proud grandfather of Sayle, Tyler, Jackson, Jamie, Haley, Berit, Zachary and Lukas. Bill graduated from Phillips Exeter Academy and Carnegie Tech, and he served as an officer in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Bill was a private investment banker and he founded Evarts Capital Inc. He served on the Board of Cleveland State University, and he enjoyed serving Carnegie Mellon, Phillips Exeter and Orange Community Athletic Association. He loved watching and coaching kids and grandkids in sports and music, he loved skiing and camping, and he lived each day with eager optimism. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 21, 2018 at Garfield Memorial Church in Pepper Pike. The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, December 20 at MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 95 S. FRANKLIN ST., CHAGRIN FALLS.
