KIMBERLY H. FISCHER, age 34. Beloved daughter of Dorothy Fischer (nee Thom) (fiancé, Lenny Sotz) and John Fischer (Linda); dear sister of J. P. (deceased) and Dee Kobylski (Jason); cherished granddaughter of Virginia Thom; loving niece and cousin to many. Kimberly was a graduate of Shaker Heights High School and Kent State University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. While obtaining her psychology degree, Kim worked on a project studying the effects of texting and other behaviors on driving performance. As a contributing author, this work was published in a governmental journal. She was subsequently invited by Denison University to speak on the same subject. In addition, she was a counselor for many years at Camp Roosevelt-Firebird. She had a great love for nature, animals and art. Her passion for the fine arts was expressed as an undergrad teaching assistant in sculpture and three dimensional art. And her compassion for the homeless earned her Volunteer of the Year at the Ohio Coalition for the Homeless, where she created FaceBook and web presence and authored articles for the Cleveland Chronicle on their behalf.
