Fredric 0. Jaros, age 64, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, November 23, 2017. He was born March 11, 1953 in Euclid, Ohio to Bertha (Stern) and Willam Jaros. Freddie grew up in Cleveland Heights and Graduated from Cleveland Heights High School in 1971. He went on to graduate from Cleveland State University in 1976. While in college he found his love for radio and started by working at the college radio station 89.3 WCSB. He worked in many bars and nightclubs including: the Mad Hatter, Bachelor's II, Capers and the Final Approach. While working at the Mad Hatter, Freddie got a phone call from John J. Mudcliffe to fill in a shift on DISCO 92 (WLYT) and that was the beginning of his long radio career. He also worked at DISCO 108 (WDMT) and 93.1 (WZAK). Freddie took a break from radio and sold cars at Spitzer. Radio called him back to JAMMIN 92. He soon started his own business, Freddie James Disc Jockeys, where he assisted many brides and grooms on their journey to being husband and wife. Radio was still on his mind and in 2007 joined the 94.9 (WQMX) Rubber City Radio family. Freddie was very involved with his church and enjoyed being the assistant minister when he could. His hobby was collecting Graphaphones and wax cylinders. On November 16, 2013, he married Victoria. They enjoyed traveling to the Smokey Mountains and visiting the caves in Hocking Hills. Spending time together in front of a roaring fire at home were the best times.
